Abstand

A B S T A N D (the German word for distance) is one of the keywords of this 2020. This year it has been a measure in the name of public health to prevent the spread of a contagious disease. Yet in physics, Abstand can also mean an interval or a gap. In this pandemic situation, this physical distance became an interval for reflection, self exploration, and even for greater closeness with our loved ones. But we haven’t experienced it in the same way: racial, political, economic & social status has created a gap between societies even deeper than the virus itself. So do we all share the same idea of distance? Collective of female* artists, Pussart, will approach different and hidden perspectives of the distance, the lockdown and its consequences and the human solitude in our times.
